Desensitization and the Death of Outrage

To restore some sanity to our lives we need to recoup a proper sense of outrage. That means making matter again what we unwittingly allowed ourselve to become numb to. Some things simply can’t be okay with us anymore. The stakes are too great and the costs are too high.
