Desensitization and the Death of Outrage

To restore some sanity to our lives we need to recoup a proper sense of outrage. That means making matter again what we unwittingly allowed ourselve to become numb to. Some things simply can’t be okay with us anymore. The stakes are too great and the costs are too high. And it’s these very matters I’d like to make the focus of the next YouTube live stream edition of Character Matters, the date for which I’ll announce in a few weeks. 

Becoming a Better Person – Pt 2

Becoming a better person takes a lot of deliberate, sustained effort. And you have to have the right motivation to do the work. External pressure can lead a person to make changes that are often superficial and short-lived. Genuine, lasting changes come when the motivation is internal. That happens when a person sets pride aside and willingly embraces a higher cause.
