Covert personalities are not who they appear to be. They know how to look good but don’t care much about actually being good. By the time you figure out who they really are, you’ve already invested much and a lot of damage has been done.
Emotionally dependent folks gravitate toward those appearing strong, confident, capable, etc. Narcissists see opportunity in this dynamic.
The aggressive personality is out to win and often at all costs. Such a mindset and behavior always takes a heavy toll on relationships.
Narcissistic characters run the gamut, from relatively benign “amorous,” “charming,” types to heartless and predatory types.
Most aggressive personalities are also narcissistic. But not all narcissists are aggressor types. One example is the “amorous” type of narcissist.
Amorous narcissists can bowl you over with what appears much love and affection. And you typically come to realize what’s really going only after your heart is breaking or has already been broken.
